Neytiri’s mother Mo’at the spiritual leader of the clan and her daughter has begged her to integrate Jake into the clan’s culture.

Quaritch plans an attack in advance against the Tree of Souls, believing that its destruction will discredit the indigenous people. The day before battle, Jake prays to Eywa through an emotional connection to the Tree of Souls, to pray for the Na’vi.

The Na’vi suffer serious injuries in the battle. But, they are rescued by Pandoran animals who join in the assault against humans. This is the interpretation of Neytiri’s Jake’s prayer. Jake manages to destroy the bomber before the Tree of Souls can reach them. Quaritch is able to escape from the plane that was damaged by the attack, and discovers the avatar link device which held Jake’s body. Quaritch exposes the device’s avatar link to the poisonous atmosphere of Pandora, and is set to cut Jake’s throat. But Neytiri is able to defeat Quaritch with two arrows. Jake then sees his human form for the first time, and is able to escape from the wreckage of his aircraft.

With the exception of Jake, Norm, and only a few others, the majority of human beings are exiled from Pandora and returned to Earth. Jake has been permanently transformed to his new avatar through the Tree of Souls.
